TECHNICAL ANALYSIS PROGRAMS & CERTIFICATIONS

Japan is the birthplace of Candlestick analysis, Ichimoku Cloud Charts and other techniques that market technicians world-wide use today.

During the early 1700s when Japan was ruled by a samurai-led government, the world’s first futures market emerged in Osaka. During that time candlestick analysis was used for rice futures trading. Ichimoku is an integrated analysis principle developed in 1930s; it is comprised of multiple techniques designed to enable the technical analyst to identify market trends, key price levels and trend reversal time windows. Japan has also developed other unique technical analysis tools including Renko-ashi, Kagi-ashi and Shin-ne-ashi.

The NTAA offers two levels of correspondence study programs designed to equip students with integrated knowledge of technical analysis. The correspondence study programs incorporate both Japan-originated and Western techniques. Students will gain practical expertise in order to apply these principles to real world markets. The duration of the program at each level is five months.

The NTAA technical analysis certification exams are held once each year. Candidates seeking to acquire the NTAA-chartered certifications are required to complete the said NTAA-offered study program prior to sit an exam.
